The year of 2023, Dalian Hanghua

In 2023, Dalian Hanghua, together with colleagues, strived for breakthroughs amidst challenges and sought development amidst difficulties. Looking back at 2023, we are filled with excitement. With the support of our teachers and classmates, we achieved various development goals:

1. Performance

We achieved a doubling of performance for three consecutive years. The CTA04 series hot-wire anemometer was the mainstay of Hanghua's sales, while the FR series fast-response Pitot probes and PSU electronic pressure scanning valves also achieved excellent sales performance.

2. Qualifications and Certifications

Hanghua obtained ISO9001 quality system certification, was approved as a technology-based small and medium-sized enterprise, and was approved as a high-tech enterprise in Dalian (currently in the public notice period).

3. New Technology Research and Development

We continued to advance the research and development of fast-response probes, high-speed hot-wire anemometers, and thermal film wall shear stress measurement instruments. We published academic papers in well-known journals such as "Journal of Aerodynamics" and "Experimental Fluid Mechanics."

4. Project Completion

Several projects involving large-channel hot-wire anemometers were successfully completed. These included projects at the Aerodynamics Center (14 channels), Dalian University of Technology (24 channels), Beihang University (3 projects with 14 channels each), Tsinghua University (4 projects with 12 channels each), and others.

5. Industry Expansion

Hot-wire anemometers, electronic pressure scanning valves, and fast-response (Pitot) probes were selected by multiple institutions in the aerospace, aviation industry, and shipbuilding industry. Fast-response probes and scanning valves gradually entered specialized fields such as structural wind engineering and automotive aerodynamics in professional colleges and research institutes.

6. Cross-Border Sales

Hot-wire anemometers and fast-response (Pitot) probes were adopted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, achieving cross-border sales of complete systems. Additionally, electronic pressure scanning valves were adopted by the University of Hertfordshire in the UK, and smoke wires were adopted by The University of Hong Kong. Hanghua also provided maintenance services for hot-wire probes for multiple overseas institutions, gradually accumulating international influence.

7. Hanghua Scholarships

Hanghua established scholarships to reward young scientists who achieved research results using Hanghua instruments. In 2023, a total of 15 young scholars were awarded.

8. Large Scientific Facilities

At the end of 2023, Hanghua won the bid for the construction project of a large scientific facility at the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, providing large-channel hot-wire thermal film measurement instruments for the project.

9. Corporate Customers

Huawei adopted hot-wire anemometers, and Hanghua became a supplier to Huawei.

10. Support for Industry Conferences

In 2023, Hanghua participated as a sponsor in four academic conferences: Experimental Fluid Salon, Separation Flow Salon, Experimental Flow Salon, and Fluid Strategic Seminar.

Every achievement of Hanghua is inseparable from the care and support of our teachers and classmates. In 2024, Hanghua will continue to deepen its efforts in the field of experimental fluid mechanics, forge ahead, develop more professional products, and better serve you.
